Central Coast Articulation Group (CCAG)
The CCAG originated in November, 1985 when Allan
Hancock College convened a meeting with its feeder high school districts to discuss how communication could be
enhanced regarding vocational, academic and adult programs, including ways of avoiding unnecessary duplication
for students. In 1986 the parties formalized an agreement and became the North County Articulation Group (NCAG).
Some small grants were awarded the group to implement the articulation of vocational education programs in north
Santa Barbara County. In 1989 the NCAG expanded to include neighboring school districts in south San Luis Obispo
County. The CCAG grew in membership and now includes
It was perhaps due in large part to the previous existence of the CCAG that the consortium successfully competed
for the Business Education Tech Prep Resource Consortium Grant, awarded in 1992. The consortium meets once a month
during the school year and periodically as needed in the summer months. Over 100 courses are now articulated between
district schools and AHC.
