Iris Blanc Director of the Virtual Enterprise Center,
in New York City shares her expertise with educators from California's
Central Coast during a one-day workshop in Santa Barbara. Representatives
from high schools, community colleges, and social service agencies
started their summer vacation by attending this exciting event.
A Virtual Enterprise (VE) is a
school-site simulated business. The VE offers students the
opportunity to experience all facets of operating a business and
being an employee. A VE provides an excellent work-based learning
opportunity for students without having to leave their school
site.
For more information about VEs see the Business Education Resource
Consortium Newsletter Spring, 1999 or visit the California VE Center's
