The ASSESSMENTS IN CAREER EDUCATION (ACE) examination uses selected response and short written response. Closely aligned with the career preparation standards, the ACE examination content reflects the industry-approved standards for each career area. The ACE program helps to bridge the gap between school and work. The learning and achievement that helps prepare students for post-secondary education and entry-level employment is recognized. Distinguished performance on the ACE examination is an important indicator of success to be noted on a student's resume and job application.

Career Education

The Assessments in Career Education (ACE) program offers end-of-course examinations that recognize students who demonstrate outstanding achievement in selected career-technical areas.

ACE examinations are offered in the following areas and career paths:

Agricultural Core (Agriculture)
Computer Science & Information Systems (Business)
Health Care, Level 1 (Health)
Food Service and Hospitality (Home Economics Careers & Technology)
Technology Core (Industrial and Technology Education)

ACE examinations are offered each Spring. Notification of test dates and registration forms are sent to school districts three to four months prior to testing.
